As my photographer, James always says- “nothing beats a white wall.” It is simply a blank canvas to showcase and naturally highlight every piece of clothing you are wearing. Although I don’t always shoot in front of white walls (gotta mix it up sometimes!), I am always reminded of how much it brings my outfit to life. There are so many part of this outfit that I love-where do I begin!

I feel like cargo jackets never go out of style or disappear during the transitioning seasons. This Ecote light cargo coat fits like a flannel and I love the subtle sequins and red patchwork on the sleeves. It really distinguishes itself from any other cargo jacket. Let’s talk about this ZARA blouse-SO MUCH LACE! This blouse is so beautiful and I love the high neck and quarter sleeve. It’s one of those tops that compliments anyone and forces you to wear minimal jewelry as the blouse itself steals the show!

These cut off Zadig & Voltaire washed out black shorts fit my style to a tee. I got them at the store opening I attended in Cross Creek, Malibu and instantly fell in love with the skulls that line the pockets and how you can roll them up (like I did above) or wear them as a longer short.

Threw on my favorite ZARA sandals (I’m wearing flats! SHOCKER) and was ready to shoot! Today I am in Cape Cod and although it’s pretty gloomy, I am super excited to check out the small town of East Sandwich. So much more to come but until next time…

xx,

Lindsay L Simon
