There are so many reasons why I love living, working and photographing outfits in West Hollywood. I find beauty and inspiration in some of the most random, unexpected places, and for this outfit, I happened to stumble upon a group of small cottages that surrounds a lovely, low key garden off of Sweetzer.
I have always been a major fan of casual, distressed jeans paired with simple, sexy heels and a light sweater. It has been so incredibly hot in Los Angeles this past week that I made the decision to bring a little color into my wardrobe more than I usually would during the winter season. I was immediately drawn to this Topshop sweater because of the metallic prints and quarter length sleeves. I’m starting to really get into metallic colors and experimenting ways in which to incorporate them into my wardrobe. I bought this sweater with a matching, identical print high waisted pencil skirt that I ended up wearing later in the night for a nice dinner at Koi on La Cienega.
I kind of forgot how much I love wearing big watches. Don’t get me wrong-I’m all about simple, classic jewelry, but there’s something about men’s watches on women that’s really attractive in my opinion. This Marc by Marc Jacobs silver watch is one of my ultimate favorites as its design is simple and subtle, but it has a much larger face than most women’s watches.
These peep toe strappy silver heels were such a steal at Topshop for only $30! It was a no brainer and especially since I am looking to add some sparkle and metallic items to my wardrobe, they were too good to pass up (or so I convinced myself to feel better about the purchase).
How is everyone’s week going? I know that if this weather continues, I will be forced to start bringing out some items from my spring wardrobe way earlier than expected, and trust me, I’m not upset about that! More photos to come but until next time…
