When I walked into ZARA yesterday, I immediately felt a twinge of jealousy for all my friends living on the east coast. I love fall outerwear-faux fur, long navy trench coats, cozy sweaters to wear under a great leather jacket, layers upon layers. Another observation I made as I strolled around ZARA was a common theme of patent leather booties and plaid EVERYTHING- button ups, pants, scarves, sweaters, skirts-everything. Plaid has always been a popular trend that emerges during the fall season, but I feel like it has been advertised more this year than any other year I remember.
Lately, I have been posting outfits that are not easy to put together or for lack of a better word-realistic (hint-polka dot overalls). I decided to debut a more accessible look. These plaid ZARA pants are to die for. Not only are they so comfortable with the stretchy material, but I love how the silver zippers and pockets encourages a more edgy look. I debated what shirt to wear with these for a while because honestly these pants can be worn with anything from a loose strappy tee to a wool sweater and in this case, a beautiful black and beige lace Joie top. I love how this top dresses up the outfit a little more, but the lace fabric keeps it sexy.
I’ll be honest-these Miu Miu shoes are the most uncomfortable heels I’ve ever purchased but I love how classic and lovely they are with the school girl strap across the front and also how they are the definition of the perfect black pumps every girl needs.
Happy Saturday to everyone!! More to come but until next time…
